“Nine he gave to Mortal Men, proud and great, and so ensnared them. Long ago they fell under the dominion of the One, and they became Ringwraiths, shadows under his great Shadow, his most terrible servants.” #LotR #ringwraith #characterdesign pic.twitter.com/0h2YIoevcT— Shannon Tindle (@ShannonTindle_1) May 3, 2020
When I was starting highschool I got obsessed with the idea of preserving time and started working on these “Memory books” where I just recorded information about what I was like at the time, and I’d like to share them with you. They each started with a self portrait. pic.twitter.com/xWWj4deVTD— Kayla Ancrum (@KaylaAncrum) May 12, 2020

Entangled Life launches TODAY in North America! Here it’s being devoured by Pleurotus (oyster mushrooms) which can eat many things, from crude oil to used cigarette butts. They are delicious. Now Pleurotus has eaten the book I can eat it – and so eat my words.— Merlin Sheldrake (@MerlinSheldrake) May 12, 2020

One thing I've become keenly aware of from perusing & trying so many recipes from different manuscripts is that colour words can't be taken for granted. They shift in ways that can be very tricky. Ink recipes are actually a good way to find out what a colour word meant back then,— Joumana Medlej (@joumajnouna) April 30, 2020
