New wild updates about that series of shootings involving a powerful family in South Carolina

NBC:

...

South Carolina's highest court agreed Wednesday to indefinitely suspend the law license of Alex Murdaugh

...

his law firm — Peters, Murdaugh, Parker, Eltzroth & Detrick, which was founded by his great-grandfather — had opened an investigation into "misappropriated funds."

Check out the acronym the firm uses to refer to itself:

The firm of Peters, Murdaugh, Parker, Eltzroth & Detrick (PMPED) said Murdaugh resigned Friday.

"His resignation came after the discovery by PMPED that Alex misappropriated funds in violation of PMPED standards and policies," the firm's statement read. "A forensic accounting firm will be retained to conduct a thorough investigation. Law enforcement and the (South Carolina) Bar have been notified."
