"A flame burning for almost a day at the Aliso Canyon natural gas facility [in Los Angeles] north was extinguished [but] it’s unclear what was fueling the fire"

LA Daily News:
The “small, low flame” was spotted Monday, days after the Saddleridge fire burned through the area. The wildfire, which was sparked Thursday night in Sylmar, was 45% contained by Tuesday morning and has burned 8,391 acres.

“There’s nothing logical there that’s burning,” . . . “It’s just fire that’s coming out of the dirt.”

...

The facility was the site of the 2015 gas leak, the largest such one in U.S. history, that kept Porter Ranch residents out of their homes for months.
